Internet-based platform

A platform is a group of computer programs and hardware that may contain an operating system, data storage, processing power, security, development tools, and many other standard features. Platforms are made to accommodate numerous smaller apps that genuinely address business issues.

Because they take a lot of common functionality out of the logic of particular applications, these systems are tremendously helpful. For instance, many of the technology requirements are roughly the same whether you're attempting to create a program to optimize fuel use or the space of a classroom. Software developers just want to access common platform capabilities like energy metering, storage, or security while concentrating on the unique issue they're working on. Application development and maintenance costs are significantly decreased by a solid platform.

Platforms in the Internet of Things are made to increase the functionality of connected device management, monitoring, and control software. IoT systems must find solutions for issues including data extraction and communication from a huge number of devices, some of which are placed in awkward positions with inadequate communication.

This platform generally consists of four main services:

  • Transport service
  • Rule Engine service
  • Core service
  • Web service UI and API
